Move to Heaven, the heartwarming Netflix original series receives a confirmed premiere date for this May!

Move to Heaven, Netflix’s new original series will air on the streaming platform on May 14. The show follows the story of Geu-ru, a young man with Asperger’s syndrome, and a man named Sang-gu who unexpectedly becomes his guardian.

Meet Geu-ru and Sang-gu

Geu-ru and Sang-gu work as “trauma cleaners”–those who clear out the possessions of the deceased. Along the way, the pair will discover the stories of the deceased. Geu-ru and Sang-gu will work together to help bring closure to the deceased’s loved ones by delivering their final messages to them.

Move to Heaven was inspired by a nonfiction essay titled, Things Left Behind by Kim Sae-byul, who worked as one of the first trauma cleaners in Korea.

The show will be backed by director Kim Sung-ho and writer Yoon Ji-ryun who will collaborate to communicate a variety of stories left behind after death. Framing these stories is the honest and impartial views of Geu-ru, who has Asperger’s syndrome.

A Move To Heaven

Meanwhile, viewers can receive their first look into the show in a newly released teaser from Netflix. The trailer introduces Geu-ru and Sang-gu in the home of a deceased person.

The opening lines state, “I am Han Geu-ru, a trauma cleaner. I’ll begin to help you with your final move”.

The pair sort through cherished belongings of the deceased, moving them into a yellow box called “Move to Heaven”. Geu-ru and Sang-gu communicate the last stories of the deceased to their loved ones, delivering final farewells in comforting and empathetic ways.

Move to Heaven will visit viewers and warm their hearts with its inspiring story, premiering May 14 only on Netflix.
