While MONSTA X has been a source of strength and inspiration for their fans, Monbebes prove that they aren’t far behind when it comes to supporting their beloved boys when the need arises.
MONSTA X is much loved by their fans across the globe indeed that the group’s fan club, Monbebe, took to social media outlets to voice their outrage at the alleged mistreatment of their favorite group.
On March 14, SBS aired the final episode of their documentary, titled Legendary Stage – Archive K. The episode served as a conclusion to a two-part project that highlighted how K-Pop has gone beyond just Korea.
As part of the episodes that featured esteemed artists including BTS, BLACKPINK, and TWICE to name a few, MONSTA X was expected to make an appearance as well.
To the surprise of Monbebes, the episode that aired only showed three seconds of screen time for the group, out of which they only spoke for just a second.
Fans had anticipated that the group would be featured through several scenes of the video, yet the episode, which was broadcast, only contained a short snippet of MONSTA X greeting the viewers.
The episode was undoubtedly not well-received by the group’s loyal fandom. After it aired, Monbebes took it upon themselves to shed light on this issue as they trended several hashtags for the same including #SBSApologizeToMonstaX and #RESPECTMONSTAX.
The fans are also bringing forth proof of MONSTA X’s prestigious achievements that evinces they own the title of global idols and that they have contributed towards the popularity of K-Pop gaining momentum overseas.
In recent time, MONSTA X has been steadily impressing with their remarkable accomplishments. For instance, the group’s full-length all-English album, ALL ABOUT LUV, released in February 2020, debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart dated 29 February 2020. It also featured on Billboard’s 50 Best Albums of 2020, as well as Hot 100, Artist 100, Social 50, Top Current Album Sales, and Top Album Sales charts.
Besides this, in Japan, the group led the charts, with their single “Wish on the same sky” released in April. During the time of its release, the track swept away the highest ranks on prominent music charts, including Tower Records. They also took the top spot on the Top K-Pop Singles Top 10 Chart for Tower Records mid-year count.
On the awarding ceremonies, MONSTA X won the coveted bonsang at the 30th High1 Seoul Music Awards. The dynamic boy group also donned the crown as the kings of the stage when they won their very first Daesang for the “Stage of the Year” award at the 2020 Asia Artist Awards. They further took home the award for the “Best Performance” and the “Best Stage” at the 2020 MAMA awards.
To add to their list of impressive accolades, MONSTA X achieved the “Artist of the Year” at the 2020 The Fact Music Awards, “Song Of The Year” at the 2020 APAN Music Awards, and also the award for “Best Group” at the 35th Golden Disc Awards.
These are just some of the recent wins of the many that MONSTA X has achieved since their debut in 2015. With this, it is perhaps safe to assert that the group has certainly authenticated their status as all-rounder global artists.
